Worst customer service ever!

I booked my vacation package via Expedia and i was promised a great hotel that looked amazing on their website. After arriving at the hotel i discovered that the hotel was under construction and none of the amenities are not available. The pool was closed, the restaurant closed, fitness room closed and the lobby was closed so we would have to walk about the building to get into the room. When i asked at the front desk why wasn't i informed of this they said it was Expedia's responsibility to do so and there is nothing they can do. I went back my checked my itinerary to make sure i didn't miss anything but no there was nothing. Expedia did take the time to let me know that the hotel charges $21daily fee but nothing about major construction. I called Expedia to see if i can get another hotel. Expedia offered $50 off from the next purchase and when I asked how this will help me they transferred me to another person that offered $100 off. Because it was last minute and most hotels were no longer available those that were available charged 3 times as much. Expedia wanted me to pay the difference which just absurd. I Spent 2 hours and 35 minutes of my vacation time on the phone with Expedia trying change hotels because 95% of amenities were not available due to construction at the the Royal Palms Hotel and Expidia didn't even bother to mention it. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!
After 2 hours and 35 minutes i was able to get another hotel for the same cost. My whole day of vacation was wasted as it was too late to do anything after such a long phone argument. I will never use Expedia again and will recommend the same for my friends and family.
