I recently purchased two one-way tickets from Nashville to Norfolk (via connect in Atlanta) from Delta for my son (in Navy) and his girlfriend. The girlfriend is from Canada and something came up and she had to book a flight back home.
I paid for the two airline tickets to help my son and his girlfriend.
I contacted Delta Customer Service by phone to ask what my options were since she would not be able to use the ticket. The tickets were a special price of ($89.10 each) and were non-refundable. The agent I spoke with said a name change or change of flight would cost $150. A simple name change $150??? No exchange offered toward another flight... NOTHING!!!
Won't be booking flights with Delta again. Back to Southwest for me, even if the price of the ticket is a little more expensive.
Such a ripoff on these change fees!!! There should be laws protecting consumers against this mess!
