I stayed at the Howard Johnson Motel on August 18 in Grand Forks, North Dakota in Room 132. From the moment I checked in it was a horrible experience. The front desk clerks were slow. Then we got to our room and it was freezing! I had two small kids with me and we cranked the heat all the way up and still the next morning we were still freezing! Then the ceiling in the bathroom was leaking so if you used the toilet you would get dripped on! So we got checked out on August 19. On my way home I realized I forgot my car charger and adapter in the room and called immediately. The girl told me she would check with housekeeping and call me back. I never got a call back. So I called in the morning on August 20 and talked with a different girl and she said she would talk with housekeeping and call me back. I never heard from her! So I called again that night and got the same girl as Friday and she said she spoke with housekeeping and they did not find anything. Hmmmm, they didn't find anything??? But she said she would check again and call me back. Never heard back. So I called again today, August 21 and talked with a guy and he checked and no car charger. At least he called me back. Sooooo, obviously housekeeping stole my car charger and adapter! And nobody is even doing anything. They said they can leave a note for housekeeping again and they wrote up a lost and found card. Excuse me! Shouldn't you deal with the fact that housekeeping stole out of that room!!! Unbelievable. I would think long and hard about staying at this place if I were you!!
