I stayed at Motel 6 from 6/17/08 to 6/19/08. When we arrived we found our room to be smaller than expected. We thought they would at least provide us with shampoo, or a hair dryer, but what do you expect from a cheap motel. And even then it wasn't that cheap at $45.99 a night.
I had been having issues with my travel trailer in regards to plumbing and toilet so it was necessary for me to stay at a hotel, and being that Motel 6 was close to me I thought it would be fine to stay there, boy was I ever wrong.
Housekeeping cleaned our room partially the whole time we were there because supposedly I was told by the cleaning lady who was working on 6/18/08 that they would not take trash out that was not inside the trashbasket, and I explained to her that the pizza boxes were too big to fit in the trashbaskets they had in there, but I told her that you could definately tell that it was trash and she had the audacity to roll her eyes at me. The front desk clerk who was there at this time which was about 7pm when I went in was the rudest person (I wish I could say something else) and basically was being very standoffish nad telling me that the room had been cleaned and was giving me attitude. I went on to tell them that in the morning of 6/18/08 I had gone in and asked the front desk person to please change sheets because they were stained and she said that sheets were changed everyday regardless and sadly enough I believed her and thought they would change them. Well they did not change them, all they did was just throw the cover over the messed up sheets. I can only imagine how this housekeeping lady lives at home or cleans if she couldn't even take out the trash. You could tell that the bathroom had not even been touched, only the towels were replaced. Then to top it off when I went to pull the covers what looked like fleas were on the sheets, I was so freaking disgusted and when I told the front desk all they did was give me a set of sheets to change them myself. So I ask, what the hell do these people get paid for, and the housekeeping person was there when I got the sheets. She did not even offer to go change them. I don't know what kind of management these hotels have that they have employees like these, all I can say is that they have no business having a business with this kind of sorry service. Needless to say I went back to my trailer and just weathered it out. I will never go back to that Motel 6.
Motel 6 gets an F - from me. Take it from my experience and pay al ittle more money and stay at a better hotel/motel. MOTEL 6 IS GARBAGE! DON'T STAY THERE!
