Ramada Plaza Resorts
Scammers, Liars, Dishonest company that will drain you of your money and leave you high and dry

ATTN: Everyone that has or is in the process of being scammed by Ramada Plaza resorts.

I have just recently received my refund check of $1,766 for the entire vacation package.

This is the easiest and guarenteed way to get your money back! I guarentee it!

Get a pen and some paper and write this very important information down.

Just recently I was scammed in to believing this package was the best thing I have ever heard of. I gave my credit card # right away and was told I had made a great decision. I was told I would have to take a tour of their new facilities. (actually a 90 minute timeshare scam) After lies and lies of vacation information, I found this site and I was amazed at how many people have been scammed by this same company.

Heck I even bought the upgrade, great deal so I thought. So after doing some research, I decide to put an end to this scamming, so I call them and they tell me that my 30 day cancellation period was up and I couldnt get refunded. I was even hung up on when I tried to get my money back.

I finally had enough of these people and their company, so heres What I did.

1) I wrote a 3 page detailed letter. You may use this and edit any thing that applies to you.

Dear Mr Lambert,

I am writing this letter in regards to the utter disgust I have with your company. When I was initially contacted about your "sun filled" exciting vacation package to Ft. Lauderdale, the Bahamas and Orlando, I was excited and took advantage (or so I thought, because I was actually taken advantage of) of the offer.

I made my first payment of $698 for me and my wife right then and there using my credit card. A few weeks later I sent the remaining $698 for me and my wife to complete the charges using my credit card. I had made several calls to customer service about details on the vacation and they offered me an upgrade which I purchased for $370 which was charged to my credit card. On June 17th I contacted customer service in regards to cancelling my vacation and being refunded the whole amount. The representative I spoke with was Isria and she told me there was nothing she could do and told me that I was just being too cautious about things I have read about your company. I then asked her to connect me to president Lambert and she laughed at me and stated "he's the president of this entire company, you'll never get hold of him, he's probably out playing golf or something, that's like trying to get hold of the president of the united states". She said she could refund the upgrade I had purchased, which I immediately had her do. She told me that she cancelled all my travel dates and I had to call back if I wanted to reschedule these dates. With this being said, my travel dates are cancelled, so I see no reason why I cannot receive a refund. With all the negative reps you have and the way I was treated, that's the least you could do. This is a total of $1396.00 that I have put on my credit card for this vacation package.

When I made my first call for the package, I was told of a so-called brief "tour" of your new facility.in the meantime I have learned that this tour is actually a timeshare scam that lasts hours. This is total misleading information and is certainly violates your states consumer protection laws. This is total misrepresentation in every sense.

During that call I was informed that this was a one time offer and if I hang up I could never receive this offer again. Maurice told me that since Ramada plaza resorts doesn't advertise, this was their way of making special offers to the public. It seems odd that you can call back as many times as you want.

I have called several times within the last month and recieved nothing but a run-around and continuous transfers and on-hold waits. Just about every person I have talked to when I call has different details about my vacation. The reps are very unfriendly and downright rude at times. When I called on June 17th to cancel, I spoke with 5 different reps who constantly stated "let me connect you to someone you can assist you further with your problem". They have made me feel like I am a worthless person because I wanted to cancel this package. I have finally come to the realization that this vacation package is nothing but a rip-off and from what I have read on the internet, I will only get ripped-off even more when I actually take the vacation.

I received my first credit card statement to realize that I had been charged $21 for a bonus gift for a family member or a friend which I was never informed of and never agreed to pay. I called about this matter and the rep I spoke with told me that I agreed to this when I first bought the package, which in return I stated that I never said yes to authorize these charges. So 3 representatives and 15 minutes of my precious time later, I finally receive my refund.

When I first received my reconformation packet the intinery stated that I was receiving 3 days and 3 nights of cruising aboard a Norwegian cruise ship, but when I called customer service, they told me my ship wasn't Norwegian, but it was Carnival instead. Since I'm under 25 years old, my rental car was to be paid by myself for a discounted fee of $25 per day with Alamo rental car. When I called to confirm my rental details, a customer service rep stated that since I purchased the upgrade to the Silver Package, there would be no fee at all and that I would only have to pay tax. I even told her about my age and she said it didn't matter. I called back to ask about this matter again, another representative informed me that I would have to pay $25 plus taxes, I explained to her that I was told I wouldn't have to pay anything, she told me that she could give me a car for $15 dollars a day using Continental Rental Cars. So the "discounted" price I was offered in the beginning was $10 more than you could actually get me a car after everything was finalized. This is also another reason I am very unsatisfied with this whole experience. It's pretty sad that I have to call 3 times to finally get the straight story.

I have not taken the vacation and am now DEMANDING a full refund of my money within 10 business days upon receipt of this letter. I have sent this letter certified mail, so I will know when you have received it. I am also demanding a recorded contract of all the phone calls I have made to you. I have no intention of ever taking this trip or ever staying at a Ramada Resort ever again, but I do have every intention of contacting any and every company remotely involved with Ramada Plaza Resorts and all those companies who offer consumer protection if I don't receive a refund. I will also be in contact with the Florida Attorney General consumer protection as soon as possible. I have also filed a complaint with the Florida Department of Agriculture and Cusumer Services.
You will get no further requests from me asking for a refund. I will not be calling your representatives anymore, as I am mistreated and lied to on every call I make. The next notification you will receive is an order to appear in court if my money is not refunded.
Class action suits in ten states and over 700 postings to the website, usacomplaints.com did not speak highly of the integrity of this agency. I have every intention, as I stated above, to take further action against this agency if I do not receive a full refund within 10 business days.

Please send a refund check to (your address here) in the amount of $1396.00. If I do not receive this refund, not only will I continue to contact people of higher authority, but I will also go to the website, usacomplaints.com, and any other website possible and leave numerous negative comments about this company.

Thank you for your time,
