After booking a hotel in NYC relying on Expedia's photographs and information I did some research on TripAdvisor. Just to find out the bathrooms of this hotel were literally falling apart. The pictures from travelers did not match the pics Expedia posted. Worried that I was going to get a really bad hotel experience I called Expedia to cancel reservation.
To my surprise they did not care about my concerns and made up stories about how they had to get the hotel approval to refund my money (which is not true since I am a small hotel owner who knows the hotel does not get paid until after the guest has stayed at the hotel). I even called the hotel directly and got Corporate to answer my call and told me they had nothing to do with the refund because they had not received the monies and they would not receive the monies until after my stay.
Armed with this information I called Expedia for the 3rd time just to get the same runaround and not SUPPORT in trying to make my travel experience the best (As their promise claims).
Needless to say THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I WILL EVER USE EXPEDIA or be affiliated to them. It is an embarrassment to the Hotel Industry. As a hotelier my motto is that Clients come first, even and the cost of my own PROFITS!
