I received a call from a representative supposedly named Gloria, who told me all about Capital Vacations, and the option to cancel after a 14 day trial. I was skeptical, so she went to get her supervisor who was more convincing-unfortunately. I agreed to try their offer for 14 days. I received the package on July 6, and typed and mailed a letter of cancellation along with the Travel ID card that they sent me. The deadline for me to cancel was July 12.
On the morning of July 14, I was checking my bank account online, and there it was, $59.95 taken from my account, even after I cancelled. I am heart broken for being so gullible, but I'm not going to take this lying down. I already reported it to my bank, and I've called the company repeatedly. I won't stop until someone deals with this legitimately.
