I purchased a vacation package from Vacation Showroom, Inc.in March. The package was supposedly good for 4 days, 3 nights in Orlando at Amerihost, 3 days, 2 nights at the Ramada Plaza in Ft. Luderdale, 5 days 4 nights in Cancun at the Miramar Mission Plaza, and 3 days 2 nights in Las Vegas at the Boardwalk Casino. I paid via check #6322 made out to Vacation Showroom, Inc. For $277.00 on March 20. I was given the following URL for information regarding my package:
Www.vacations123.com. I also talked with "Peter" at 1-800-467-0776 ext 174 regarding payment for this package. Peter was the actual salesperson I talked with during the purchase.
In May I attempted to schedule the first "trip" to Cancun - only to be told that the Miramar had burned and I would be put into the Aquamarina or the Calinda Beach resort in Cancun. I looked into the condition of these resorts via website, and found both hotels to be graded very low (1.8 and 3.5 on a scale of 10). When I tried to call the travel agency to complain, I was told they only had authorization to put me in the Aquamarina or the Calinda Beach.
When I tried to call the original numbers for Vacation Showroom, all numbers had been disconnected. The following numbers were tried with no success: 1-800-832-9795 (on vacation flyer); customer service (Mark Johnson) 386-326-9806; and the number provided above for Peter.
