We went to a travel sales presentation in March and were told we would receive a free trip, through Holiday Travel of America. We chose Las Vegas, we sent in the money to hold a room, $50.00 which was to be given back, and $96.00 for taxes etc. We chose our 3 dates, they came and went, were told to pick 3 more dates, the last of those dates being the 15th of June.
We heard from someone the end of March that they would contact us the first part of May to confirm our trip. We heard nothing. I e-mailed them, and they called me 2 days later, there answer was we can get the room but we are unable to get a flight out of Cleveland. Now out of 6 dates I chose over a year and a few month, none of those dates were available, they also said my voucher had expired, it was only good for a year.
Whose fault was it that I did not receive my trip? I certainly did what I was asked to do. They did tell me that if I ever get to Vegas, they would pay for my room, am sure I would call to take them up on the offer, there would be another excuse. So if anyone is offered a trip like this through Holiday Trave of America. Beware. Nothing but a rip off and scam.
