After receiving a "free" cruise from a time share deal I called when I never heard back from Holiday Travel. They told me my dates were unavaiable (these dates were the FEW that were available outside their blackouts) and others were ahead of me for any other "available" dates. I was also told in addtion to the $246.00 I had already paid I would owe a minimum of $200.00 per person to add my 11 yr old son to the trip.
I informed them that this was MORE than a cruise would cost if I booked directly or on an online deal. The operator was "indignant"and said he didn't think it would be on Carnival, I told him "NO, it would be an even better line, this is the cheapest cruise out there and you're charging me more!"
After I told him I wanted my $ back he said "fine" and for my trouble would give me 2 free nights in a hotel in Anaheim. He had no idea which hotel and I had to give him the dates I would use the hotel right there and then if I was to get the "gift". I had to laugh at that point. What a SCAM. They give you nothing! I said send my money back and hung up. I have yet to see any check in the mail!
