On Nov 22 I reserved a room at the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on the officialpethotels.com web site which specializes in pet friendly hotels. I also purchased their travel insurance for an additional $14.79. Following the sites directions I then followed up with the Hilton New Orleans Riverside on my pets accommodations only to be informed that they did not accept pets. I immediately went back to the officialpethotels.com web site and phoned their customer service department thinking I could just rub out the last transaction and start over again.
They refuse to refund the all of my money, insisting that they have a right to the $25.00 cancellation fee that is in the contract. They also insist that they never collected the $14.79 for travel insurance.
$39.79 is what they kept from a transaction that was fraudulently advertised on their site to accept pets.
I am tired of trying to deal with anyone at the officialpethotels.com or their affiliates including priceline.com. They can keep the money they stole and I will share this story everywhere I can.
