WEST GATE VACATION CLUB False Advertising then Hard-Sell used at sales meetings on customers

West Gate ripped us off for a gift once when we attended a sales meeting of theirs selling their vacation club. The company they used, Certs, in Orlando, is a bougus company who had so many requirements to get the cruise that you literally can't do it. First of all they required that $5 be sent in a money order, then $155 separate money order per person in order to confirm the complimentary cruise.

It had to me a money order.

We sent it in with the original coupon they had sent us and never heard from them. They claimed they never received our coupon nor the money orders. Thanks to long habit formed with Pan Am in my life, I had made copies of Every Thing, in duplicate. We got verification from the post office that they had signed and received our letter, and that they had cashed our money orders also. Certs still refused to honor our cruise or return the money or even acknowledge that they received it.

I called the attorney general's office and filed a complaint against Certs. We did get our money back from Certs then in a check but we Never Got Our gift for spending a day at their sales promo. It was awful, West Gate would take no responsibility, and I did contact them repeatedly with this information. I also filed a complaint on Ripp Off on the computer and shall continue to do so. They had promised us a 4 night cruise, a full week in a 2 bedroom or larger resort condo anywhere in the USA, or a choice of other gifts that included comp car rentals and a $100 check to spend at a resort.instead, they gave us Certs and a nightmare to deal with.

The agent at the Consumer Protection office for the State of Florida, told me that they were very familiar with Certs, and when I had first told her the name, she had sighed, and put her hand to her head and said, 'Not Certs Again!'

West Gate was notified and pretended not to be aware of the problem with Certs and with guests getting the promised gifts for attending the presentations. We went to Bayside, Miami, Florida and it took the entire afternoon. We decided to pass on West Gate's program of a travel club but later on, we did purchase one, We Never Got the Gift We Were Promised by West Gate. We were instead offered a couple comp days at a resort in Kissimmee. Whoopee. This is wrong and totally dishonest.
