I used pethotels.com to book a reservation at a hotel on Tuesday night. At the time, the info concerning the pet policy of the hotel read that the hotel had petsitting services and was dog friendly. To book the reservation, I was charged $34.20 by pethotel.com - this was a service charge for them booking the reservation and providing me with info concerning the hotel and their pet policy.
On Wednesday, I looked at the hotel's website and saw that if you had a pet with you, you should call the concierges to inform them that the pet would be with you, the dog could not be over 40 lbs. And they would charge you $85.00 for the pet, regardless of the length of stay. I called pethotels.com and asked if since I booked thorough their site and paid the charge, they had informed the hotel of my dog and would the $85.00 fee be waived - they said "no". I requested my $34.20 be refunded since their info was inaccurate and theyu were not providing any service, they refused.
I wrote to custmer service, they refused also and then refused to send the name and way to contact a manager. I am very unhappy with this site and would never reccommend them to anyone. I ahve lots of friends that are dog owners and they travel - they will not use the site either because of this incident.
