Ramada Plaza Resort called to sell us this vacation package. Actually they called with an offer to listen to a presentation for a time share. (we already own one) the price $398.00. This was for nights in Orlando for two families and free passes to the parks there. It also included a stay in Vegas for two families. No black out dates. They said the package would be sent. I thought we will just look it over and if it did not seem good we would cancel it.
Well, weeks went by and no package. So I called my credit card company to see if a charge was made, and it was. I had no number to call. I waited for my credit card bill to arrive for the number. I called it and the phone line had a long wait (due high volume) so I waited anothe day, called again.
After 20 minutes I got through (first I was dis connected) I explained we had not recieved a package and that with the experience I had thus far I really did not want to do business with them. (plus we really didn't feel like sitting through a sale presentation).
The telemarketer transferred me to a different department that handled cancelations. I expained again! The customer service rep tryed to sell me a pitch again. I explained nicley that I was not interested, I just want to cancel. She got nasty with me, and tried to blame ME for not calling sooner? And that she would not cancel my vacation.
I asked to speak with her supervisor I was put on hold another 20 minutes. The supervisor had the same dispositon. And questioned weather I really got the package or not? She said how do we know you did not get the package. I thought I don't care if this is $10.00 with that kind of customer service I don't want anything to do with this company. I figured this was a good indicator of what the vacation would actually be like. She too refused to cancel and she said she was the only person I could talk with, there was no one higher, no other department ect.
They said my vacation had to be cancelled with in 30 days. My credit card shows the charge at March 22. They said I purchased it on March 13th. I called April 20th. I had to investigate to get a phone number to begin with since I never got a package? WOW what a sweet little scam they have going. I will contact the consumer affairs and attorney general in the state of Florida, and use the information I have gotten off this web site regarding this company.
