(File Reference Number-8841558) I would like to explain you about the worth of my mishandling baggage I had to incur and the loss to me due to the baggage lost in their flight. I am giving the details of all the items and charges I had incurred.
When I get off at Delhi International airport from Flight number BA01012, I waited for my baggage for 4 hours at the airport. I was already tired during the flight from Calgary to Delhi. I had to stay in Delhi for 2 days in hotel with my family to wait for my lost baggage in these two days i went to airport for my lost Baggage even my family had to suffer due to the lost baggage because they came from my hometown to Delhi in a rented car to receive me which is 10 hours of drive from my hometown. I was on vocation and due to this problem I was stressed and frustrated throughout my vocation (13 weeks). I paid $400 to the rented car and for the meal and accommodation in hotel. Even after two days in hotel waiting for my luggage, I had to go home empty handed. I had to buy things for my friends relatives from India to please them. It was very shameful for me to go empty handed to home because I had bought gifts for all member of my family I which I could not give them. So, I spent all my days of vocation in stress and it came out to be a horror journey for me. I fell ill for two weeks during this stress phase.
The baggage had my wedding jewellery worth of $2200. There were two watches of Citizen company worth $300 and three cell phones worth $400. I also bought leather bags and cosmetics for my wife amounting $375. I also bought 2 Playstation3 for my kids worth $700. And it also contained 8 bottles of perfume worth $480. It also contained things which belonged to my friends which I had to deliver to their family residing in India. All these things were worth $1750. And they also put the receipts in the packed boxes. So, I could not find all the receipts of things which were in my baggage. I never thought that I will lost my baggage in such a well reputed airline. I sent them the receipts which I could find worth of $1200. Mostly, I bought all my stuff in cash. Even the flight ticket was bought in cash. I would like to get back ticket refund ($1500) because it was a horror journey for me.
Please consider my request and help me in getting my claim money from British Airways.
