DirectAir, Direct Air Family Ties misleading advertising of flight schedules to certain destinations

I purchased a bunch of Family Ties tickets based upon the fact that I have family in Florida and desired to visit them throughout the year.in addition to having been unable to travel part of the year because of health problems (surgery, etc.), I recently discovered only through a telephone conversatoin with a DirectAir rep that their destinations to Punta Gorda and West Palm are only used in the winter. I appealed to DirectAir on two occasions and even offered to provide them with medical documentation as to my medical condition and surgery. They said they were sorry I was sick but it wouldn't be "fair" to other customers if they made an exception for me.in addition, I do not recall any explicit information as to flights to Florida only during winter months. While I understand that rationale, I was willing - and hopeful - of visiting my family in Florida even during the warmer months. DirectAir's lack of flexibility - especially in light of my medical issues - has cost me $700 in unused vouchers. What a waste of money. And, of course, I will never do business with DirectAir in the future. Penny wise/pound foolish on their part. I used this "vehicle" - i.E., Internet complaint as a last resort when they refused to show any compassion or concern for my circumstances - other than the cut and dry: "sorry you were sick." Kurt Vonnegut was right: You get what you pay for!
