In October I bought 4 DirectAir Family Ties vouchers hoping to use them for Christmas to fly my family from Rockford to Punta Gorda to visit my parents.

I tried and tried and many times more to phone them with questions, but I could never get through. So I decided to trust them and buy the tickets, thinking if I can't use them for Christmas I will try for Spring Break or another time. So, unwisely, I trusted them and bought the vouchers. Couldn't get any flights around the Christmas Break at all. Then I tried for Spring Break - all sold out. On Febuary first I decided to just see what I could get since the flights ended on April 30th and didn't resume until November! My vouchers expired on October 31st! There was only one week in the next 3 month when they had seats available to use two of the vouchers and it was one that I was already out of town on. One week!!!

I was told that the half price sale they had sold so many of the seats! So not only were they running the Family Ties, they were also running other sales and obviously sold more seats then they had. Great scam, because they make no refunds, and no extensions!

Think of all the people they took hundreds of dollars from and never serviced! As it was, the flights were not such great deals anyhow, after they tack on loads of taxes and surcharges and baggage fees etc. I could have bought tickets from a reputable company!
