I purchased a plane ticket online from Lan.com. I live in Los Angeles, California so the transaction has been made in U.S. Dollars. When I got my credit card statement showed the transaction amount plus $ 40.97 for foreign exchange. Immediately I called my credit card to know why are they charging me an extra fee because I had bought the ticket over here in U.S. Currency. My credit card told me that Lan.com had made the transaction as if I had bought in Chile. Chile is other center of operation in adittion to Miami.

I called Lan.com to complain and they promised me to reimburse the extra fee and asked to send them the credit card statement and my address, which I did but I haven't received anything. When I emailed them asking for my money they replied saying the next week or two more weeks, just is missing the supervisor signature any excuse. I have all emails they replied to me. Lan.com used to steal money online because they know is no legal punishment. I am losing $40.97 but they will lose thousand of dollars because I will warn my family and friends not to buy airlines tickets from Lan.com. I am doing a research if is possible to take this case to Small Claim Court.
