Aka www.airticketmasters.com Took our money and never delivered, ruining our trip. Refuses to refund. Ripoff Fraud Scam New York (mailing) And Florida (physical)

Five of us called Air Ticket Masters at 800-204-9693 and bought plane tickets to Bangkok two and a half months before the departure date. Because Roger at airticketmasters.com told us it would be cheaper to pay with check than our credit card, we did that, giving him our account numbers (big mistake of course).

He withdrew the money from our accounts, $624-$664 each, and told us we would receive our tickets in the mail a month before the trip. When i asked, he told me the tickets were in the mail at least three times, one month before, two weeks before, and one week before, but he never could give a tracking number. He said that he would call back and then wouldn't. He then told me he had Fedexed them three days prior to the trip. Fedex has no record of anything being sent to my address prior to the departure date.

So, our trip was ruined. We had all taken two weeks off from work, and now we weren't leaving either. It turns out that, according to China Airlines, our tickets were never actually bought but just reserved and re-reserved when the reservation would time out. The last re-reservation happened three days before the flight!

A couple days later, Roger sent five checks as a refund via Fedex. We went to the bank that the checks are from, Banco Popular, and tried to cash them. None of them were good. Since then he has said he has wired transferred the money into my account, but cannot fax me evidence of this transaction. Then he said he would deposit cash into my account at my bank. I have not received any money.

It turns out that Air Ticket Masters has a very unsatisfactory record with the Better Business Bureau and there has also been a consumer fraud segment on them on Channel 7. See it at http://abclocal. Go.com/kgo/news/7oys/101403_7oys_air_ticket.html
Airticketmasters.com has a mailing address in New York City and he claims he is in NYC, but his mail is really forwarded somewhere else. His bank account was created in Whisper Lakes, Florida and the Fedex I received was from Orlando, FL.
