My bus originating from nyc to new orleans broke down for two to three hours, on the highway. There was no backup bus for three hours and i spent the night in a bus terminal and missed my labor day holiday. Then it happened again….. This time on the return trip back to nyc and it was 8 hours instead overnight. I am so upset and angry. I received a letter with a modest reimbursement of only 88.00 for the FIVE MONTH delay in getting back to my case. And the letter basically said that this should be closure I was seeking. Greyhound has no proper backup system for passengers with broken down buses. It typically takes HOURS for a replacement bus. And greyhound is aware of this. The bus driver took many unnecessary breaks and did not try to make up the lost time and missed the connecting bus. At the terminal the Greyhound personnel refused to give information on OTHER connecting buses, they brushed me off and or were rude, and as a result, I missed a possible late connection that might have gotten into New Orleans at noon instead at the end of the day where I missed my plans.
AID IN GOOD FAITH AND I DEMAND A FULL REFUND. Greyhound is cheating its customers. When you call the coproate numbeyou never get ot speak ot a supervisor. There ought to be a class action suit against greyhound. As mentioned because it is a monolpoly it abuses and exploits poor people. People of color and people who do not
