Via e-mail I was sent an offer for a free vacation. I don't usually go for these but I checked it out. I asked a lot of questions. I was told that there were no tours required, no presentations to be seen.
I was advised that this was just a special offer from the Ramada resorts to generate more bussiness and that they were just offering these discounted rooms and vacations because it was better to have a full hotel and make a little money. I questioned multiple times on the tours or seminars I would have to sit through and was told there were none.
Then when I called to reconfirm my vacation, I was advised of a time & a day that my tour was scheduled for. I was also told that I would be staying at the Ramada PLaza resort. They gave me the web site etc.
Then when I called to confirm my reservation, I was advised that I would be staying at their affiliate instead. The Amerihost. I complained & was told that they had no availability at the Ramada. I argued that I was promised that there were no blackout dates in Orlando. This is what I had been told. She said oh, there are no black out dates but they are full.
I called the hotel direct & they had a ton of availability. Upon calling the Rmada plaza resort vacation back & arguing that there was availability, I was told that they only secure a certain number of rooms & that is what they have to work with. There rooms were already all taken. Which is strange, since when questioning, I was told that they are actually Ramada, they are not some other company trying to sell Ramada vacations.
Anyway, this has been a huge hassle. I have made multiple phone calls & they say they will not refund my money as they say it is stated in their coversation with me that they recorded, that it is non-refundable. This is a huge scam! I am so mad.
I went ahead and found a nice hotel to stay at in Orlando, no hassles.
I will find a way to get my money back. This is terrible what they are doing to people. If you have had the same problems please post your problems.
