To all of you out there, there is hope! I to purchased the wonderful vacation package that was offered to me. I then the next day went on line to look up rpr to see what I could do while I am on vacation. I went to a search engine and typed rpr and to my surprise I not only found rpr website but I also found message boards complaining of the company.

I started to think that I made a bad decision with the purchase and called the company and asked for a refund. The rep that I spoke to said that there is no refunds. I was not informed of this. I at that point didn't think that there was anything that I could do. But I remembered that I put the purchase on my credit and I work for a credit card company and the charge is able to be disputed since the merchant never disclosed a cancellation policy. So I place the charge into dispute.

I then kept calling the company because at this point I was extremely upset. I spoke to a manager there that was no help and rude. I then followed it up with a letter to the company. I then recieved the packet and in there it states that there is a 3 day cancellation from the date that you recieve the materials. I called back and they stated again that they explained that there is no cancellation, I then asked the rep then why do you have a cancellation policy here? She was dumbfounded and hung up the phone.

I called back and spoke to another manager there and asked for a fax # that I could send the cancellation to because it has to be to them by the 3 business day. With the first day already over I figured that it would be the best way to do it instead of fedex. The manager would not give me a fax #. So I sent out another letter to the company. 3 days later i received a phone call back from a rep at rpr stating that they would upgrade at no additional charge and give complimentary breakfast as well as an additional day with a different cruise ship, I declined the offer.

The rep then stated that they would give me an additional 18 months to use the vacation, I also declined this because of all the information that I read about this company and the bait and switch that they had done to other people. So I advised the rep on the phone that i was not going away and that I would be disputing the charge with my credit card company as well as getting in touch with the bbb, my attorney general's office, fl dept of agriculture and consumer srvcs, the federal trade commission, and the national fraud information center. The woman hung up on me.

A few days later i received a postcard stating that they were refunding me. I called my credit card company to see if the credit did come through and it did. So I cancelled my dispute. I took me about 3 weeks to get the refund but it was well worth it. Just remember that if you have placed this on your credit card that you do have dispute rights via visa and mastercard international depending on the card that you are carrying.

If the merchant failed to tell you about the cancellation policy or doesn't abide by it then you have a right to dispute it. Hope that this helps someone else out there that may have been taken by this company.
