Ripoff - Never repaid room deposit, ignored all complaints about room

Ignored Complaints:
1. I complained 2 times about my fridge/freezer not working properly. It was never fixed. I had $200 worth of specialty meats spoiled in the freezer. The fridge ran all night long, because it was failing, and kept me awake. The maintenance persons fix was to turn the dial up to max. If it did not work at a low setting, why would it work at a higher setting? Needless to say, it didnt!
2. I complained 2 times about the noise in the room above mine. The day after my second complaint the noise was very loud, and kept me awake until after 3 am. This was on a Sunday night/Monday morning, when I had to get up at 6 am for work! I was told that the people in the room were construction workers, and were just enjoying themselves. Do construction workers usually stay up until 3am, and get up late? And do they usually have young ladies parading around outside their rooms after midnight? These construction workers did!
3. When I checked out of Intown Suites, they were supposed to refund my $100 room deposit. After 2 weeks, and a dozen phone calls, the deposit had still not been credited to my credit card, although the manager insisted that she had credited it. After several phone calls and visits back to Intown Suites, she finally told me that because the computer system had been updated, and I checked in before the update, my refund would have to be paid by check, and that would take up to 30 days. (But I thought she had already credited my card???) After 40 days I still have received no check, and no credit! When I was ONE HOUR late paying my room bill one time, they wanted to charge me $40 LATE FEE!

Courtesy:
1. While the fire in the room near mine was no fault of the hotel managements, it would have been nice to get some kind of apology for having to run out into the parking lot at 4 am, in the middle of winter!
2. The office is open at times convenient to the staff, as opposed to times convenient to the guests. Even then, a good part of the time there is nobody in the office, even when it IS supposed to be open. One time I was locked out of my room, because the electronic key was wrongly programmed. There was nobody in the office to help me for almost an hour, even though it was during office hours. I was late for an appointment because of that. Another time I had to go on a trip, and needed to pay for my room before leaving. (So I would not be locked out of my room on a Sunday, when there would be nobody in the office all day!) Again there was nobody in the office to pay, even though it was supposed to be during office hours. Several other times I have gone to the office to pay, and had to return later because nobody was there.

General:
1. There is inadequate storage in the room. Just a few cents spent on shelves in the cabinets would help.
2. There is NO storage at all in the bathroom. No shelf, no medicine cabinet, nothing. The towel rail was virtually unusable, as it kept falling off the wall.
3. There is nowhere to keep silverware.
4. The hotel does not accept packages. I had an important legal document delivered by Priority Mail. It was shown by the tracking records to be delivered on Thursday, but Intown Suites apparently did not have it until the following Tuesday!
5. There is no bathroom rug, but I suppose thats why its so cheap.
6. There are no bedside lights, but as long as you are an avid TV viewer that cant read, thats OK.
7. Very little is supplied in the kitchenette, but I suppose thats why its cheap. No silverware, plates, can opener, or cooking utensils are supplied, although they can be rented from the office for only $20 per week (= $1040.00 per year!). Not a great deal!
8. Actually, its not that cheap! If you take into account the coffee maker and silverware rental fee, there are other places around for only $50 per week more that have:

- Silverware, plates, pots, pans, can openers and other cooking utensils supplied.
- A Queen size bed, instead of the tiny singles at Intown Suites.
- Staff on duty all the time, prepared to listen to complaints, and help out.
- Comfortable rooms, with appliances and window shades that work.
- Better storage, better work surfaces, real oven, and bedside lights.
9. Two weeks after checking out of the hotel, my room deposit had still not been credited back to my credit card. The hotel staff insisted that it had been paid, and that the problem was with my credit card. Strange that all other transactions on my card show up within 48 hours, without fail.

Maintenance:
1. The window shades in my room didnt keep out any light, because they were so cheap, and there was a bright light outside all night long. This makes it hard to sleep, if youre one of those people that like to sleep in the dark!
2. I didnt bother to complain about my air conditioner not working. Whats the point when I know it will never get fixed? But it did help to keep me awake on warm nights as if the noisy fridge, bright lights, fires, and noisy neighbors werent enough! For some reason, my room was hot, even when it was cold outside. Im glad I dont have to stay there in the summer!
3. The towel rail in the bathroom was falling off the wall. I didnt bother to complain. That is something the cleaning staff should have noticed anyway, as they have to put the towels there without it falling off the wall (again).
