Ripoff the business that doesnt give a dam

I was traveling on business and I decided to stay at this Holiday Inn. When I first arrived the gentleman, and I use that term loosely, started checking me in. He never asked me for a credit card and he just started getting a creit auth. The credit auth came back denied. I advised the clerk that this was not going to be denied. I then handed him my credit card and asked him to swipe the card. He looked at the card and refused. I asked if there was a ATM in the hotel. I was advised there wasn't, but there was an ATM in the gas station. I went and got money for the hotel and checked in.

I went to my room and I tried to open the door, but the key didn't unlock the door. I walked back down to the desk and they first asked me "Do you know how to insert the key in the electronic locks?". Then they proceeded to remake the key for me. I went back up and the key worked fine. Go figure. When I opened the door to the room, the air conditioner was turned on to about 45 degrees and it smelled like smoke. Other than this, the room was ok.

On my way up to my room this time I noticed that the room next to me had ordered room service and placed their dirty tray outside the door. I went out at about 3pm and their room service tray was still outside the door. When I came back around 8pm the same tray was still outside the door.

I was expecting some co-workers to check in, so I called down to the front desk to get their room numbers. They hadn't checked in yet, so I left a message for them to call me. I never received a call. The next morning when I saw my co-workers I asked if they received the message. They hadn't.

When I went to check out of the hotel I asked them about not giving my co-workers the message and they said "oh". I didn't even get an apology. I paid my bill and left. When I got to the airport and looked more closely at my bill, the bill was for someone entirely different.

I would never stay at this hotel again, the service was terrible.
