This hotel charged me $1,120 on my credit card without my knowledge on the day I checked out. When I called the hotel they said I had smoked in my room. I stated that first, I did not smoke in the room and second, there is only a 250.00 smoking fine. The manager said that it is there policy to charge 250.00 (280.00 with tax) PER DAY. I stayed 4 nights. I called everybody and no one would give me any answered. One customer service rep said they "negotiated" and the hotel was willing to only charge me for 2 days. THAT'S 560.00 once they ADD TAX. I declined and called my credit card company.
This is stealing. These people should be prosecuted. It's over $1,000... Isn't that Grand Theft?
