Withdrew monies under false pretences

I was called (by 'Jessica') regarding a holiday in Orlando, which I had supposedly WON, and details of the trip were given to me. I was ensured many times, that I was the lucky recipitent of this holiday, which led me to believe that I had, indeed, WON it and that I could take up to four other people with me, at a cost of $3.99 each.

After she had taken me through the details, she passed me over to her colleague 'Mindy', who again told me the details of the trip, Mindy then assured me that the company were linked to Visa, and asked for several confirmations of my identity; she knew my date of birth and address, and that I banked with Visa. She then asked me to confirm my card number for her, which she knew began with a certain number. I told her I was not happy giving this information over the phone, and she led me to belive that i was simply verifying details she already had.

I asked how much I would have to pay if I wanted to go ahead with the offer, but she was very vague.
After putting me on hold for a short period, she told me that the withdrawal from my account was going ahead; when I challenged this and told her that I did not want that to happen, she became very agitated, and kept talking over me, not letting me question her.
Eventually she told me that 500 pounds had been withdrawn.

I told her that she did not have my permission to take any money from my account, and that I wanted to speak to someone else there. She then said that I had APPLIED for the holiday OFFER, and ran through the details again, saying that any money paid was non-refundable.
I got very upset at this point, and told her that this was unacceptable and that I needed to speak to someone else who would listen to me to sort this all out.
Apparently, no-one else was available, but she gave me a number of their billing dept, whom I called, but was told that nothing could be done until the following day.

Details of the holiday will apparently be sent via e-mail to me within 24 hours, and hopefully (I doubt it) there may be some way of getting my money back; surely, there must be a cooling off period for this type of thing???

I have read several other reports regarding this company, and it seems that they are all of a similar vein.

Please, if anyone has any information on how to help, post a report on this site.
