Bought travel insurace from CSA in July 08.in late August, 4 days before trip my wife was advised not to go by a specialist who wanted her in the hospital for tests. Feeling assured that we had the cancelation insurace we took the doctors advice. We notified CSA that same day and they assured us that forms would be forth coming and it would be a routine formality.
In December 08 after much run-around we were told that due to my wife having seen the doctor in March 08 that her problem had manifested itself and was therefore an 'existing pre-condition', therefore the calim was denied.
They told us to read the 'fine print.' My wife only had tests and sent home. Nothing has ever be diagnossed and she continues to work. We got screwed royaly by CSA.
