My fiance and I, like many others bought into the Horizon Travel Scam. We cannot believe we were so stupid, but we were thinking about our honeymoon and being able to get a great deal and save some money after paying for our wedding.
I called to inquire about making reservations and I never got a call back. They stated someone would get back to me in a few days but I was never contacted. And like many others, we never receieved the "free" trip from VIP Travel, no way to contact, no trip. Horizon Travel states they have nothing to do with VIP Travel and they cannot do anything about our trip.
I have been in contact with people at Horizon Travel/TCI Travel since July 11 and receieved a letter from our credit card company that they will not refund our money. We have been told nothing but lies from TCI Travel and now we are out $6000! They claim they don't refund money or cancel memberships.in other words, we are screwed!
If anyone has any other information about this or this has happened to you, please let me know what you've done to get help.
