We used our time share to go to Puerto Vallarto, Mexico, and made the mistake of agreeing to listen to a presentation. When we didn't buy a time share, we were supposedly being taken to get our prize.instead, they took us to ANOTHER presentation for Gold Crown. The pitch was that we would save tons of money on vacation travel and since we're close to retirement, travel time would be in abundance. So, we paid over $3,500 for a membership (FOOLS!). When we returned home and received all the info two weeks later via e-mail, we found that they didn't have that good a selection and that we could book directly with hotels, etc. For the same price or less.
However, when we asked for our money back, Gold Crown said that they don't get the money. It goes to the resort in Mexico who likewise would not return the money. So, a year and half later, still no bookings, still no savings and we are out the $3,500. I filed a report with Florida State to complain about their business practices but received no reply. These people are the worst kind of crooks.
