I am a Premier Executive with United's frequent flyer program. Typically when I go to the sight I log in and book flights. Recently I checked the flight availability and price prior to logging on with my frequent flyer number. After logging in the price went up $400.00. I suspected a mistake, called in and was given the lower price no questions asked. On my next flight I tried again the same way and discovered the same situation, once again about a $400.00 price increase. I did the same today and had a price difference of $461.00 to $2200.00. An additional concern that I considered that may be prompting this is that I am about 6 segments away from earning my Premier Executive ranking for next year. Would they isolate those persons and discourage them from flying with them until the year is out?
I don't know if there is any legality issue with this or not. I know that it is deceptive and should be illegal.
