On August 6th got a quote from Tan Travel online for my India trip tickets for $1672. After confirming all details the owner asked to send money by online transfer to their business bank of america account. I googled the name and company name and found no records. Feeling safe I sent the money from my Bank of America account to their account on August 12th. He confirmed by email the receipt of the transaction.
Upon 4 days of no ticket delivery called to enquire. They blamed the delay to airline company. Upon 2 weeks of no action. I caklled them and said I would like to cancel the purchase which they politely obliged.
They called and asked for my bank account # to which the money has to be refunded. But after that they never responded to my phone calls or email.

Upon further internet investigation found that their is a another travel company at that location. Called that office and talked to the owner.
The owner told that this company, Tan Travel just has a mail box in the location. They just come once a month to get the mails. He has been receiving lots of calls from different people with same issue.
At this point i do not know what to do. First time experience.
Any help and guidance would be highly appreciated.
