I was quoted a price of 204.42 by priceline but when I got my bill from the hotel the actual charge was 169.18. When I contacted Priceline, the operator told me that Priceline gets special unadvertised rates that the public can't get and they were sorry for the difference in prices, but with their special rates they get such discounts that they cannot do anything.
Obviously the operator has no language command and doesn't understand that the hotel charged less than priceline charged or priceline gets crap rates to begin with. Either way, the operator was rude and unresponsive and appeared to be only willing to read from a canned response and unwilling to go any farther. I have filed a dispute with my credit card company for the difference; however, no matter how it turns out, I will not be doing business with priceline ever again.
