I have incured numerous bank charges because of this. I used a debit card that was linked to my checking account so when they charged me an extra night's fee it caused me to bounce several checks etc. Because I was not expecting it. I contacted manager Jimmy Doyle and was told simply that was "policy" and there was nothing he could do. They run a tight schedule with maids and new guest checking in and have zero tolerance for late check out. I have stayed in many hotels but have never seen a policy such as this. They were just looking for an excuse to make more money. Luckily my bank helped me out with the charges but I just want others out there to stay somewhere else and not give these clowns any business
