Crowne Plaza Pensacola Grande Hotel sucks. The services they provide is a joke. Working sucks more. They make you lie to the guests about all kinds of things.
First, they tell you that you have to tell the guests that the room they want is unavailable to make you buy more. They don't care at all about the guests. All they want is money. They will lie to you telling you they can not give you a discount for a room, when they can give you a discount down to $88.00. They have done it for less.
They make you answer the switchboard while you are on your lunch. You have to shove the food to the side of your mouth, and then answer the phone. And don't expect any breaks. Don's ask either. Then you will get warned of getting fired. If you smoke, good luck while on the clock, because the front desk reps that dont smoke, CHOOSE not to take a break, and they think it's not right for the others to have one.
They talk about you behind your back, and they steal money. I had to watch someone steal money from the company, and from me!!! Yet, when i went to go stand up for my family, and tell someone that it was going on, they said they would take care of it... Yeah right.
If you plan on working for them, please dont make the same mistake i did. You are supposed to get paid for commission on selling the people their points club, and i NEVER got paid. They say you get all these benfits, and i never did. I was never late... Yet, those people that did have cars, rarely showed up for work on time. They are all in cahoots.
They willl bill your credit card 250.00 dollars without telling you if you smoke in a non-smoking room. You can never have more than 2 people in ANY of their rooms. Not even the suites. Nor the presidential suite. If they find out they have more than 2 people even just visiting, you are liable to get evicted without a refund.
They are rude to most customers that complain. Matter of fact, they barely do anything to make the guest happy. Working there, you are expected to stand in the same spot for 8 hours, and make it LOOK like you are working. They all fight over who answers the phone. It's ridiculous. They forget to mention to you, if you are looking to get some sleep, NOT to say there. The train is sooo loud that it vibarates the WHOLE 15 story hotel.
The dont even have enough money to fix their name on the outside of the building. Please i beg you, it's not worth it. They seem nice. But, they raise the price on you without you knowing it, and the person that is checking in right beside you is most likely paying less than you. Have a blessed day, keep your head up. God will direct you..
Crowne Plaza is NOT the place to meet..
