DONT BE FOOLED into this SCAM!
I HOPE that this at the very least PREVENTS others from being SCAMMED!
I cannot believe that I did not do my homework before falling for this one! I actually took the first vacation and it was a disaster. The hotel should be reported to the health dept. It was disguistingly dirty and the employees were the rudest people I have ever encountered. A manager of the hotel would NOT even come out and talk to us. He hid in the office for hours. Finally thrilled to be leaving, they couldnt even produce a receipt of expenses, so I spend hours contacting my credit card company to be sure that we weren't charged anything else extra.
When I called the place that sold me this package, there was ONLY a fax number available, no phone number. I got home and tried to fax a complaint and there was no answer at the number. So, I mailed my 2 page fax and customer satisfaction survey last month demanding some refund and have not received a reply. I will be forwarding my complaint to the CT and FL attorney general and the Florida health dept.
I cannot believe that with this many complaints on the web, that this company is NOT out of business or been forced to refund us.
Below are some of my comments on the vacation.
This Ft. Lauderdale Ramada is in dire need of clean up and proper management. To put it bluntly, this place is a dump! I cannot believe I paid for this supposed great deal to be sent to substandard hotels.
We had booked a non smoking room. We were sent to a room on the 2nd floor which was marked as smoking, although much of the rest of the floor was marked non-smoking. The room was disgusting and reeked of smoke. We went to the front desk to change our room and they insisted it was a non-smoking room, and said that some inconsiderate guests smoke in the non-smoking rooms. We were asked if a deodorizer would help? I insisted on a new room as was sent to the 4th floor room, which was better, but barely a 1 star quality/cleanliness hotel. The hallways smelled horrible and two of four elevators were broken during our entire stay there. This 4th floor room was ready for guests, but there were no towels to be found. We requested towels and received them.in addition, the ice machines on the 3rd 5th floors, and the soda machines on the 2nd 5th floors were all out of service during our entire stay. On our 2nd day, there were NO towels!!!
