We want travelers to be aware of the questionable business practices we and friends experienced at The Crowne Plaza Hotel in Pittsfield, MA. It is not a traveler-friendly place. The hotel management may turn people away if they do not have their confirmation number when they check in. The management may require full payment months in advance and require a 2-week cancellation. They may double-book your room and then refuse to refund your payment even though they rent your room to someone else. They may charge items you never purchased to your credit card months later based on the credit card information you gave them months earlier. And they said they did not have small room refrigerators for visitors who need to refrigerate medicines or baby formula etc. Travelers to the Berkshires can find much more traveler-friendly places to stay with, in our opinion, much more honorable and professional management.
