I stayed at this hotel in early December for 4 nights. I had questioned the reservation agent at the hotel extensively before I booked the room.By the way, it was booked in June for December, at which time I had many options for the weekend. Unfortunately the town was sold out by the time I realized this was a disaster.
The room I originally booked was not available when I checked in. The first room was half the size needed and I had to move the room 3 times trying to find one that was acceptable. The furniture was broken and falling apart, there was no internet access in the rooms (as had been advertised) and there was mold everywhere in all 3 rooms. Disgusting. As I said, I had no choice but to stay.
I've contacted American Express and will be calling the Miami Beach Health Department next.
