Last September, my family and I were down at the Ren-Faire in the Lancaster, PA area. Sundance Travel had a tent set up outside the entrance next to the parking lots. The "agents" literally came out to meet us with their little contest information booklets and demanded we sign up to win the 3-day/2-night stay at one of the listed destinations with a chance at an SUV Truck.
Within a week, they called and said we won the trip and had to set up a time to meet with an agent to tell us how to get it. We went and listened to this GREAT speech about the wonderful places you can travel to.
Next thing we know, we're signed up in an agreement to pay $24,000 over the next year, starting January. Even after they pushed the issue that they are not a time share program. Now, they have our bank account number and transfer number from a blank check to pull the money out whenever they want to. We have since, changed our account at the bank and thrown away anything to do with the company.
Our advice when confronted like this, and it may seem rude, but shove them as hard as you can out of your way and tell them you are in no way interested in what they have to offer. Offers that seem too good to be true, always are.
