We purchased 2 air tickets from Sultan Ahmed travel agent for $ 3500, first of all he demanded money in cashier's check only, secondly the reservation was never made. When we called airlines 1 week before the travel date they tell us the reservation was canceled because the travel agent issued an invalid ticket number. When we contacted agent he blamed us in turn that we canceled the reservation by calling the airline again and again.
When the airline called him, he suddenly had another reservation number out of which half was confirmed and the other half was in waiting list, all this hassle just 4 days before the trip that to to people who are 70 yrs old.
When we went to his office as assured by him that he will give us everything confirmed, he came up with a new thing saying it is still in waiting list, but he can send them confirmed on economy.
After i disagreed he has the nerve to say they are not going to DIE if they travel in economy there is a reason we paid extra money for premier class, for our parents 3 months in advance of their travel.
When asked to issue a refund, he said at first that he wouldn't do that and started saying it might take longer to refund, doesn't know when.
When we said we will have to take the help of the police he said you come tomorrow to my office and i will teach you a good lesson.
In all the years of our travel history we have never come across an agent like him and want to make sure that no one suffers the same we and our parents have to.
Even today as i write this report my parents are under a tremendous emotional stress, are probably not going to be able to travel as planned all thanks to the unprofessional CHEATERS like SULTAN AHMED. His SCAM has to be stopped!!!
