Ripoff Negligent Incompetent Indifferent Cheats Liars

I purchased a travel package via the internet with Travelocity. I paid the bill with my credit card and then paid the credit card off so it would be clear and I could spend freely on our vacation.

Our trip was for a package that included airfare to Kahului, Hi and our resort for 7 nights. We also purchased some activities and shuttle service from the airport to our resort.

We arrived in Kahului about 9pm on January 9th. We proceeded to the shuttle stand and gave them out printed vouchers for the shuttle service. They began to laugh and told us we were on the wrong island for this resort.
I immediatley called Travelocity from my cellphone in the airport and spoke to someone named Eric. I explained our problem to him and he put me on hold for a very long time. When he returned he explained that he had the resort on the other line and had cancelled our reservations with the resort. He then told me they would be charging me for one night because I cancelled last minute.

By this time I was crying, my granddaughter was now sleeping on the floor of the airport, & my poor husband was looking through the phonebook in a strange place trying to find us a place to stay.

Travelocity offered no immediate help to our problem.
It wasn't our fault they don't know one island from another. I had never been to Maui before.

Since the airport closes and spending anymore time there was not an option. (by now, it was after midnight) We rode a bus with all our bags & found a hotel near the airport.
The next AM I began calling Travelocity again. The supervisor also offered no help or suggestions on what to do and only wanted to discuss my protest against paying the one night for our resort. I THEN found out it would be about 14 business days before my card was credited back. I explained this would harm our trip further because if I had to pay for another resort last minute we wouldn't be able to enjoy our trip.

I had to cancel our attractions (my card was credited immediatly) so we would have enough to eat and stay the duration. I have e-mailed them since I have returned and keep receiving generic e-mails. I demanded some personnal customer attention. I have given them every opportunity to call me. My card was credited (finally) but my vacation was ruined and my nerves are still a wreck.

Travelocity has some nerve. They booked us on one island and the resort on another. I thought I saw a commercial on TV that shows the gnome telling someone to call and they would be helped immediatly. Why didn't Travelocity try to find us transportation and a place to stay on the island THEY sent us to?

Please do not do business with them.
