Fairfield Resorts Bonnet Creek uses people who are vacationing from the stress of their daily life to sell a guaranteed dream vacation each year. When you state that you are not interested in purchasing they tell you lies. You can rent the timeshare and make up your costs, but you are not told that to rent it or get a desired week your maintainence fees must be paid in advance. You can trade it for airline trips, cruises, car rentals but when you try to, you can get these items cheaper on line without using your points. To Rent your unit you need pay a high cost to advertise, and their are so many timeshares in Orlando that you can forget about getting a rental. The same goes for selling the timeshare. We were told that the price was going up and we could make a quick profit. Again you have to advertise at a fee and then wait in line for someone to consider you. If you explain that your credit is poor they assure you that you won't get it unless your credit and financial position states you can afford it. How come I can get immediate approval for a timeshare yet I am denied Credit Cards, Home Loan Mortgage. Once approved, in the homeowner industry you can get out perhaps for a small fee prior to moving in. I was told I could not begin using the points or the timeshare until July, this was February. I am required to begin to pay immediately for the loan and the maintenance fees for something which can not be used. They break banking and business ethics rules by pushing people through. I am on disability which I explained and a limited income. I am told this is an investment. When I am not able to make the $550 a month payment, and I notify them before the July date, collection agencies are calling me at least 2 to 3 times a day threatening me. I receive letters on a regular basis threatening my credit which was poor to start with and affecting the good credit I need to move on. I explained that my divorce left me without much and with poor credit and they assured me this was a way of building good credit. Fairfield Resorts does not put the customer first. I have found several class action suits filed against them for their misrepresentation and they should be held accountable.
