I also attended a high pressure sales presentation for Fairfield. Being way out of my price range they offered me the Discovery option. I would get 300,000 points to use at any of the Fairfield Resorts. This was in June and I had mentioned we were going to Destin Florida in August. I said if I could use it in August in Destin, then I would purchase it. Of course it was booked liked every other Fairfield Resort. I said I would decline since I knew I wouldn't get to use it until at least next summer. Knowing this the salesman said he would post date the contract. He told me the contract was good for 1 year but I could call and get it extended for another year. So we decided to activate the contract in December (the post date) so it would expire in December.
Once I got home and called about using this, I found it started the day I signed the contract and it was only good for one year. Lies, Lies & more Lies. However, I am glad I found out how deceitful this company is before I bought in to the timeshare program. I did get to use the Discovery vacation but I will not be purchasing a timeshare from Fairfield. If they hadn't lied about the Discovery I could have been another victim losing thousands of dollars and a lifetime maintenance fees to Fairfield. So I guess I'm saying thank you for lying from the start. I have researched Fairfield and can see they do nothing but rip people off.
