They advertise rates online which are "not" available. They also don't tell you there's a $10 per person per day "service" charge added to your onboard account bill for every cruise. (it used to be a "tipping charge" but they now refer to it as a service charge. HOWEVER it is over and above the quoted rates. $70.00 per person for a typical 7 day cruise - $100 per person on a 10 day cruise, etc. They also change itinneraries, such as after some ports are damaged due to hurricanes (expected)
HOWEVER a 7 day cruise out of Houston which was scheduled for 4 ports and 2 days at sea, is now changed to 2 ports, and 4 days at sea with absolutely no compensation or options - If you don't want that completely different cruise. You will be charged any cancellation penalties which may apply.
The biggest scam is "purchase your next cruise while onboard the cruise yourcurrently on - ALEGEDLY at the lowest price available.
It usually, in almost all cases turns out to be the highest price at any time for that cruise you're booking.
All I can say is "beware". Norwegian Cruise Line is well known for their poor customer service, usually rated as the "lowest" in the industry.
