On March 25, my boyfriend and I went to the Iron Horse Inn to spend an evening there. Before check in, we requested to see our guest room. We were shocked to find black muck caked into the corners of the bathtub. We complained, and were shown a second room. This time there were dried soap bubbles and soap scum caked onto the bathroom fixtures.
We told the three teen-age daughters of the owner who were working at the time that we were not satisfied and would be taking our business elsewhere. The told us that their cancellation policy required 72 hours notice and that our credit card would be charged. We argued this because we felt they had not upheld THEIR half of the bargain.
After arguing with these highly unprofessional girls for close to a half hour, to no avail, be left and decided to deal directly with the credit card company. They DID end up charging us, and to this day we have been unable to get our money back.
The way we were treated was appalling, and I want others to know this so no one else falls victim to this kind of consumer abuse.
