TeliFlex WARNING! Ripoff, lying, false advertising, manipulative Class A SCAM ARTISTS!

I recieved a call on my cell phone on 2-14-05. I thought that I had a valentines treat as I was told that I had just won a FREE vacation. At first I said that I was not interested, because it sounded like a scam. Then the woman I talked to (I did not catch her name) asked "You DON'T want a free vacation?"

As I thought about it, I did sign up at my bank, Community Banks, to win a vacation. They often run different contests. Attributing this to that, which now, I am surely doubting the connection, I proceeded. Also, the woman I talked to suggested that I try it, and cancel it the day I get it if I do not want it, and that I can still use the travel vouchers. Then woman told me that I would have to confirm my Routing number and my account number in order to get the free vacation. She implied that she had the information, and even said to me that she could not transmit the information over the phone for legal issues.

In turn I did sign up to try TeliFlex. I like to try things out for free trials, and do not usually have a problem. I recieved the infomation eight days later. I looked it over for two days, and cancelled on 2/24/05. I was given a cancellation number. This time I talked to what sounded like an older gentleman, whose name was Jesse Phillips. When I cancelled, I asked him what would happen to my personal information, and I was told that it would stay with the company and they would not give it out. I then asked for a copy of their privacy policy to be mailed to me for my records. He sounded shocked, and said that he has NEVER been asked that before, and that they would send me one. As of today, 3/5/05, I have NOT recieved a privacy policy.

On 3-2-05 I called and cancelled the Free Trial for TeliFLex. I as not given a cancellation number. Their information is as follows:

TeliFlex
Unlimited Long Distance
3303 Seffner Drive, Holiday Florida 34691
Customer Care center: 1-866-821-8674
teliflex.com

On 3/2/05 they deducted $149.00 out of my checking account. I do not use this account for anything other than to pay my bills or use a credit card online, so often, I do not have a lot of money in the account, unless it is assigned for a payment or event. This overdrafted my account. Unfortuantly, I have overdraft protection, and it was paid. I was charged $35 more dollars, and then had the two charges I thought I had money for come back, and get charged $70 more. This has put me back $254.00 total. I just recieved the statement today. I glad I found this site, but it is a damn shame that I have to do this.

By the way, I also just checked out the teliflex website. It is under construction. Funny, it is run by Network Solution, which also has complaints here.
