I live in a small town where, unfortunately, public transportation is limited. I take Greyhound from Marathon to Thunder Bay. I always select the schedule GLC5603 which supposedly departs from the station at 0430. The bus is always late (on many occasions, 2hrs where I have to stand out in the cold). Greyhound doesn't offer a sheltered waiting area. Also, there is no way to know when the bus arrives so you are left to guess and pray that you don't have to wait hours on the rickity bench under a street lamp. If you have no choice but Greyhound and are traveling in the Northwestern Ontario region, always pack food and be ready to wait a long time.
