We flew to Eugene, Oregon to attend the UT and Oregon game, and then do a tour of Oregon that was planned by my friend that lives in Eugene. Everything was great beginning with the kindness shown to those of us from Tennessee by the folks from Oregon. Word got around how nicely Tennessee treated the people from Oregon three years ago when they came to Knoxville and they wanted to return the kindness. It was awesome! Our tour lead us to Belknap Hot Springs (Aw. Wonderful), then to Cascade locks and a Riverboat Dinner/Cruise on the Columbia Gorge, from there we caught the Waterfalls (Multnomah most famous) along the way as we traveled to Mt. St. Helens in WA, then to Astoria, then to Depoe Bay and a Whale Watching excursion, then to Newport Beach, then Bandon (a paradise), then to Crater Lake (spectacular). It was an incredible trip totally planned and executed by my friend. Our flight started off with no Pilot in Knoxville, but was quickly resolved and did not affect our trip, and flight home was just fine. This was my first experience with Cheap Air and was happy with everything other than on one leg of the flight, there were MANY empty seats in an area that cost a little more and they would not let us move there without paying more, it was not first class, it was just middle area. I thought that was tacky of United to do that. When booking I tried to make sure my husband had a seat with good leg room because he has knee problems and is very tall, but never got confirmation on my request. I bought insurance for the trip and would like to have known what to do to make him comfortable.
