This is the worst tour that I have ever been on and this is saying something as I have been on some bad ones in the past. Virtually nothing that was advertised for this tour was provided. There was no tour of Port Said or Ismailia, and I was not provided any lunch. The boat trip on the canal that is mentioned in the advertisement is just a 5 minute trip across in the car on the ferry. The two men, driver and guide, were totally disorganized, not even having checked where we were to cross the canal so we wasted a lot of time driving around to find that out. On the trip up the driver lost his temper with someone on the phone and the guide was more preoccupied with arranging other tours with his own company that I was ignored a good deal of the time. Toilet stops had not been planned so when I asked for them to stop one of the places I was given was so disgusting that I actually felt nauseous. I am used to roughing things but this hole in the ground was so bad that I worried about catching something. So for a 12 hour day that I was hoping to have been one of the highlights of my holiday to Egypt it turned out to be spent mainly in the van.
