I am from Boston and I go to school in Syracuse, New York and so I am a frequent bus rider. I also take frequent trips to Washington D. C as well. I just have to say that GREYHOUND IS HORRIBLE but I am forced to take it because there are not many bus lines available in Syracuse, New York. Because Greyhound basically has a monopoly on bus travel in the country, they do not give a shit about their customer service and improving their efficiency. I cannot begin to tell you how many times Greyhound was late picking passengers up and getting them to their destinations on time. And when you complain to the greyhound staff, they do not do anything and are rude back to you because they said they have no control over when buses get here and we should talk to corporate. NOBODY IN THEIR RIGHT FUCKING MIND IS GOING TO STAY ON THE PHONE FOR HOURS JUST TO COMPLAIN TO SOMEONE WHO ISN'T EVEN GOING TO DO SHIT! There is not even any comment feedback page on their website because they know they suck and already know what people are going to say. Their system is fucked up and whoever is in charge have absolutely no power or control over their buses and do not give a fuck as long as people buy tickets because they reap all the profits. I absolutely hate when they give you an estimated arrival time on the website and end up being more than hour late to their destination, especially when I have to transfer to another bus. I cannot tell you how many times greyhound has fucked me up. One of the worst times was when I was traveling from Boston to Washington, DC with a transfer in New York. The ride from Boston to New York was fine. The ride from Washington, DC was ABSOLUTE HELL! We were two hours away from New York and then suddenly the bus driver stops and pulls over to the side of the highway. Nobody knew what the fuck was going on and the bus driver was not even trying to communicate the problem with us passengers. After like 30 minutes the bus driver finally told us that the windshield wipers aren't working and he is not allowed to drive in the rain. Seriously what the fuck? Greyhound spends all their money investing in "state-of-the-art" buses and they cannot even get their damn windshield wipers to work! And shouldn't there be somebody to check if everything on the bus works before it pulls out of the station? We were waiting on the side of the road for two hours and during that time, it wasn't even fucking raining anymore! So WE had to tell the bus driver to just drive and by the time he started to, it started raining again! During those two fucking hours of waiting, we could have been driving instead. I swear, Greyhound would hire anybody with a license and not check if they are competent, efficient, or possess the rare power of COMMON SENSE.in total we had to wait FOUR HOURS for another bus to come pick us up on top of ANOTHER FOUR HOURS to reach our destination. BTW Greyhound wifi and outlets suck. Wifi is slow as fuck and more times than not, cannot even access it and sometimes the outlets cannot even charge. Of course, being the money-hungry conglomerate they are, we were not issued any refunds or compensation for making everybody wait and miss their events or transfers in DC. BTW, their ROADS REWARDS PROGRAM IS FUCKING SHIT because you cannot use your discounts on advanced purchases fares! You can only use them on the standard FULL PRICE fares which is stupid because the tickets are already too expensive anyways and it's not a big difference if they knock off a couple of bucks anyways. Greyhound is the worst bus line ever! If you can, i suggest you take any other bus line. Greyhound fucking sucks! Avoid if possible. Normally, I never really do online reviews or complaints about anything because I don't really care but Greyhound just pisses me off so much that I need to warn other people about this shit bus line.
