United Airlines states that first checked bag is free for international travel. They honored that policy on the outbound trip, but then forced me to pay a $25 bag fee to return home. A phone call to customer service confirmed there should be no fee, but sent me to online refunds to resolve it. The refunds department refused to make the refund with no clear explanation. It costs me much more in time hassling with this issue. That's an obnoxious way to do business.
